Information Usage

Local Processing

Wayback Recon operates primarily in your browser. URL queries are sent to target websites or the Wayback Machine APIs (via proxies if configured) to fetch archival data. We do not store your search history on our servers.

Reconstruction Data

When you build a reconstruction, files are downloaded directly from the source (live website or archive) to your device's memory to create the ZIP file. This data is not uploaded to our systems.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use local storage solely to remember your theme preference (Light/Dark mode) and proxy settings for your convenience.
